1. How are you going to teach me?
I will teach you via audio conferencing. If it is One-on-One lesson, we can use msn, yahoo messenger, Gtalk or Skype. If it is group class around 3 to 5 students at a time, we will use Skype . I can teach you through a high efficient white board provided on web, so you can study Chinese with me just as you would with your teacher in a real world small class. Some of the teaching methods will show up on it, just like the teacher writing on the blackboard or showing slides (such as Word, PDF, PPT, JPG, etc format files). Both you and me can write using the pen tool or highlight something on it. So please do not worry if you are going to take my Chinese character lessons. Top 
 

2. What do I need for attending the lessons?
You will need:
 A computer connected to Internet; (Note: Your computer should have a sound card.)
An IE Browser or other browsers (Firefox, Netscape, etc.).
Adobe Reader 6.0 (Acrobat Reader) or above version; Download Acrobat Reader for FREE here. 
 An earphone or headset;
 Install Skype Version 3.2.0 .148 or above on your computer and establish a free Skype account.
Note: One-on-One lesson, you may install MSN Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, Google-Talk or Skype which you use often. Top
 

3. Do I need to buy any textbooks or CDs in order to take your lessons?
If you want to choose the study materials(ebooks) provided by my website, you need to purchase it before taking my private lessons. AppleChineseChinese provides printable PDF Chinese learning ebooks (pinyin,dialogue,grammar,character) for beginners to Intermediate Chinese learners. That is the convenience of our online services.   Top 
 

4. Is it possible to select the class contents to fit my personal need?
Yes. If it is One-on-One lesson, you have a textbook already and only need a private tutor; you may scan your book to me for me to teach. I also have several published textbook for teaching like Conversational Chinese 301 and Standard Chinese.If it is group lesson, as long as 3 to 4 students who are agreed to use the same textbook already published or provided on web with copyright, we can discuss the content we use in class.Top 

5. If I am not a native English speaker, can I take your lessons?
Yes. Anyone who understands Basic English can take our lessons. We welcome friends who want to study Chinese from all over the world. We use English and Chinese to communicate in class, so you must make sure you have a good command of English first.  Top

6. Is the lessons time flexible?
Currently I offer Private Chinese lessons at Beijing time (GMT + 8) from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.on Saturdays and Sundays(check your time at www.timeanddate.com). We can discuss the time and set up timetable for lessons. Top 
 

7. If it is group lesson, how many people are in one group?
A group usually formed by 3 to 5 students.Top 

8. How long does one class last in your program?
One class is for 50 minutes. Top  
 

9. Can I only learn Pinyin but not the Chinese characters?
Yes! You may if you wish. Some students only want to learn how to speak and listen in Chinese, but not reading and writing, these students may choose to only learn Pinyin.Top   

10. What's the cost & how do I pay?
The cost for One-on-One personal private lessons(Pinyin,Dialogue,Grammar) is 13 USD per lesson.
The cost for One-on-One personal private lessons(Learning Chinese characters) is 16 USD per lesson.
Group lessons (more than 2 students) for Pinyin,Dialogue,Grammar learning is 4 USD per lesson for each individual.
Group lessons (more than 2 students) for Chinese characters learning is 6 USD per lesson for each individual.
You need to buy at least 5 lessons at a time. There is no free trial for this service.

11. How to take your online Chinese language courses?
Step 1: Establish a free Skype (or msn messenger, yahoo messenger, gtalk) account.
Step 2:   You will need to register on Apple Chinese online as a former user, and then This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it to me about your request for an online course and any related questions.
Step 3:   I will help you design your study plan and sent back the info to you.
Step 4:   We will set the time for personal lessons or group lessons.
Step 5:   Ask you to arrange payment for the language course.
